Becoming a mom for the 3rd time has been an incredible journey for me in ways I expected—and in ways I absolutely didn’t.

It is beautiful, emotional, exhausting, and overwhelming all at once. I remember standing in my baby’s nursery thinking, “Why didn’t anyone tell me it would feel like this?”

There were so many products out there, and between my first and my last child, the world of baby care products have changes.

So if you’re a new mom, expecting, or just trying to make life a little easier, here are the things I can swear by.

These items are real-life helpers that continue to keep my sanity more than once.

1. Bottle Warmer (Night Feed Lifesaver)

Night feeds hit differently when you’re half asleep and trying not to drop a bottle. Although I strictly breastfeed my kids until 6 months, I often pump my milk to give my body a break especially at nighttime.

A bottle warmer would have saved me so much stress in those early weeks.

💡 Why I love it:

  • Warm milk in minutes (no waiting around at 3 AM)
  • Makes night feeds smoother and less stressful
  • One less thing to figure out when you’re exhausted

If you’re currently waking up for feeds, trust me—this is one of those small things that makes a big difference.

2. White Noise Machine (Sleep Saver)

I underestimated how important sleep environment was for babies.

A white noise machine creates a calm, consistent sound that helps babies settle faster and stay asleep longer.

💡 Why it’s worth it:

  • Helps block out household noise
  • Supports longer naps and night sleep
  • Becomes part of your baby’s sleep routine

Honestly, this one can change your entire nighttime experience. it serves as an air pruifier, white noise machine and comes with a variety of night lights.

3. Swaddle Blankets (Soft, Simple, Essential)

Swaddle blankets were one of those things I used every single day without realizing how essential they were.

💡 Why I love them:

  • Keeps baby feeling snug and secure
  • Multi-use (blanket, cover, burp cloth)
  • Lightweight and breathable

You can never really have too many of these.

4. Nursing Pillow (Comfort You Don’t Expect to Need)

I thought I could just “hold the baby normally.”
Then reality humbled me quickly 😅

A nursing pillow supports both you and baby, especially during feeding sessions.

💡 Why it helps:

  • Reduces strain on your arms and back
  • Makes feeding more comfortable
  • Can be used for tummy time too

This is one of those “you don’t know until you know” items.

5. Diaper Caddy (Organization That Keeps You Sane)

This might sound simple, but it changed my daily routine.

Instead of running around the house for wipes, diapers, creams—you have everything in one place.

💡 Why it matters:

  • Keeps baby essentials portable
  • Saves time during diaper changes
  • Reduces stress in multiple rooms

6. Baby Carrier (Hands-Free Freedom)

There’s something magical about having your hands back while still holding your baby close.

💡 Why I recommend it:

  • Keeps baby close while freeing your hands
  • Helps during chores, errands, or walks
  • Great for bonding

8. Little Remedies New Baby Essentials Kit

Although I received this as a gift, I highly recommend this one! It is a game changer. This kit contains all the items every mom needs as she navigates those Newborn weeks.

9. Baby Wipe Warmer

This one may be up for debate but trust me if you can afford it please get one, it’s helpful for those 3am diaper changes when the house is super cold and I noticed my little ones cried from how cold the wipes were.

💡 Why it works:

  • Helps those late night diaper changes go smoothly
  • Your baby will thank you for this 🙂

💕 Final Thoughts

Finally!!! Invest in a Breastpump if this is something you want to do as you go on your feeding journey with the little ones! I don’t have a preference on any as I have had a few hiccups with different types so far. So do some research for the best ones.

If I could go back and talk to myself in those early newborn days, I wouldn’t tell myself to “do more” or “buy everything.”

I would simply say:

“Focus on what makes life easier, not what looks perfect.”

Motherhood is already full—emotionally, physically, mentally. You don’t need everything. You just need the right things that support you.

If you’re in this stage right now, take a deep breath. You’re doing better than you think.

And I hope this list helps make your journey just a little lighter.
